Newborn Model

I'm so excited to post just a couple picts from a newborn photo shoot yesterday. Meg is the most beautiful baby! Thanks Kate for letting her model for me. I'm currently looking for a few more newborn models, so pass the word on if you know of anyone. I prefer 10 days old or younger. Mom will receive 10-15 re-touched images on CD and a free 8X10.

6 Boys and a Root Beer Float Party

It's not too often that 5 year olds get to have a party, unless it's your birthday. I had leftover root beer and ice cream from achievement days and decided to let Carson have a root beer float party. He loves to have friends over and this way we could have a bunch over all at once. Thankfully, we did this before the weather turned cold, again, on us. We played with the electric train, until two boys collided knocking over the train, so we headed outdoors. The boys were so cute they made up some monster fighting game, blew bubbles, played in the sand pile and swing set. Preston even got to join in with the big boys!

Fluffy Hair and Funny Faces

Preston woke up from his nap one day and had fluffiest hair and made the funniest faces. I couldn't resist taking a few photos and sharing them.



This is one of my favorite faces he makes, even though it's so cheesy.

Sunshine Through My Window

This one's for Nana... we arrived home from church one day and had a sunshine reflection all over in our family room. It came from the sunshine chime Nana gave us and was hanging outside. It was so beautiful.

Cassidy's always so willing to be my little model. I've been practicing using natural light, I think it's beautiful and helps eye color really pop. I could've used photoshop to sharpen and enhance a little, but that really takes so much time, so for the most part I'm going to be posting straight out of camera (SOOC)





Carson's such a character and I love capturing his personality on camera. He also likes to model for me but he's always Moving, so it's taken a little practice on the camera to figure out how to keep him in focus. It really helped having him face the window. With plenty of light I can have a fast shutter speed and still keep a wide open aperture. I also kept the shutter button down and took as many as I could, this way I can get a few more in focus.

'I Got Schooled' By The Amazing Julie Parker

My Sis told me about Julie Parker Photography last summer after her nephew's wedding. I have been soooo amazed with her work! Last week she held an 'I Got Schooled' workshop for photographers. I learned some awesome new things and I'm so excited to use all my new info! She had a some models come and we spent a few hours shooting. These are some of the pictures.

Carson Jumps Twice and Falls Once

Carson's had the best time learning to ski this year. I wanted to show this video of him skiing, only his 3rd time ever! He found this big jump and kept skiing on it. In the 1st video, he knew I was recording and was trying to jump really high, unfortunately, he fell and hit his head but didn't get hurt. Actually, he hardly ever gets hurt, except today when his younger brother bit him, again.

Boy Practices Taekwondo Moves

Our active little Munchkin Head, Carson, recently started taking Taekwondo classes. So far it's been great for him! They are teaching him how to focus, concentrate, follow directions, etc. and he's having fun. Master Oliver is an amazing teacher, he can keep Carson's attention the entire time. Carson loves it, the 1st class he giggled through the whole lesson, Master Oliver keeps it fun while teaching important lessons!







Here's Carson telling his sister that he's going to punch her, I don't know why but she said OK. After seriously knocking the wind out of her, we had a little talk about punching people.

Nine Year Old Eagerly and Nervously Awaits Ear Piercing

I always thought I'd let Cassidy get her ears pierced on her 8th birthday. Well, that came and went, I wanted it to be her idea and something she really wanted. Now, at age nine, she's been begging to get hers ears pierced. I think she just wanted to do it because her friends have theirs done, but she kept asking. She got all 4's on her report card, so we decided this would be her reward.
