Back to School

Well, we're back to school and back to a routine! Carson started 1st grade this year, which means I have a full 7 hrs to get my things done. He's actually doing pretty good and not too tired. Cassidy's in 4th grade and she's already got the homework routine down.

Carson is the hugginest kid... always wants a hug.

This kid started preschool today and now thinks he's too cool for pictures!

Father's Day

I wasn't going to post these because all the picts I'm uploading are looking desaturated and it's driving me crazy. But... I thought everyone should see my husbands black eye. (Hopefully I won't have a black eye too after posting this.) And... no it wasn't spousal abuse, everyone's 1st guess. Church basketball. I'm going to petition to put an end to that sport! too many injuries. Well... at least he got a new pair of glasses, even if they are a wal-mart special. You can't beat $15 dollars. Anyway... Hope you had a great Father's Day, Chris.

What Time Is It?

Summertime. That's right, it's official. What are all us moms going to do now? We have lots of activities planned for the summer. Yes, I'm assigning chores and homework everyday but we'll also be at the pool, kids kitchen class, soccer, Bear Lake, Cherry Hill, etc. Today I'm just hoping for a little more sunshine so we can play outside.

I took pictures on field day. Below they played a game where you pass the wet sponge over and under each person. It ended in a huge water fight... all the kids were soaked!

Carson's Kickin' Birthday Party

Carson turned 6 a few weeks ago, it always makes me sad when my kids birthdays come around... Cassidy thinks it's good because it means she's getting older and she can have a house and Ferrari. It's bittersweet to see them grow-up.

What kind of party do you have with 6 year old boys? Well, this was the easiest party EVER! and pretty mellow too. Carson's Taikwondo teacher, Master Oliver, did the party for us. I haven't figured out how he can keep every one's attention and get them to do exactly what he says and I can't. The kids are mesmerized by him. I had to show all the pictures so you could see. I know there's a lot of them and they're backwards. So enjoy looking at the party pictures from end to beginning!

Cake baked by the 'cake lady' in SLC. Not only do they look wonderful, but they are the best tasting cakes!

I love this picture of Caron laughing, Master Oliver is entertaining too. I think we were laughing the entire time.

Even my 2 year old is paying attention!
