Christmas Photo Shoot

Our Christmas photo shoot is always an adventure. One child loves to pose, one child hates to pose, and one child has no clue what's going on. We did get couple good shots and even a smile from the grumpy guy.

Courtney's Senior Pictures

What a blast I had with Courtney. I don't know if she can say the same thing... I kept asking her to do all sorts of crazy things, she must think I'm crazy! Thanks for letting me do your senior photos. Courtney has been one of our awesome babysitters over the past year, my kids have enjoyed her so much. She is so smart and pleasant to be around and as a senior she still takes time out to babysit for us.

I've been trying to learn photoshop CS3 the last few months. It's quite a complex software to learn. Here's my latest stab at it and for those who use photoshop elements most of this can be done using elements.

Friends Forever

Last week Cassidy's friends, Lydia and Hannah, played in the back yard. They always have a great time together and always include Preston. He just loves them. We're going to miss the nice weather.

Eclairs: Two Ways

Last Sunday the 'Cassidy Club' was formed and the 'Cassidy Club' wanted to make a dessert. The club found a recipe for eclairs in the Lion House Desserts recipe book. I read it and realized how complicated it was and decided to disappear from the kitchen for a few minutes... just to see what would happen. After arriving back, I found that the 'club' had mixed all 6 ingredients together. Chris had stepped in to help and realized the ingredients were supposed to be mixed in a pot and cooked on the stove. I then showed him the instructions and to make a long story short, we decided to create an object lesson and make the eclairs two ways. What happens when you follow instructions and what happens when you don't. The 'clubs' way is on the right and the correct way is on the left.



Okay, I will admit one thing, Cassidy and Chris liked their eclairs and ate almost the whole thing! Yuck. What do you think this guy liked?

Soccer Seizes for the Season

Finally old enough to play soccer and it's over! Excitement is the only word to describe Carson and soccer, and now all we can do is look forward to the next season.

Beach: From Dusk to Dawn

Yes, our family LOVES the beach. It is one of the only places on earth where my kids can run free and play for hours, without much to worry about. If you know my kids you'll know what I mean. (I have 3 Curious Georges' who always get lost!) In August we took a very spontaneous trip to Carlsbad, CA for a week right before school started. With the snow and cold weather, I'm missing the CA sunshine and beach!

Best Ever BBQ Chicken Pizza

What do I order every time I go to California Pizza Kitchen? Yes, their BBQ chicken pizza is the best! I've been wanting to make my own for years and ran across a recipe the other day. ...but of course when I went to make it, homemade pizza crust and homemade BBQ sauce just seemed like too much work. So, I modified the recipe to make it a little more quick n' easy. Here it is if you want to give it a try.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

1 premade pizza crust
left-over grilled BBQ chicken cubed or cubed chicken
Famous Dave's rich n'sassy BBQ sauce (the best)
Cilantro (my favorite herb... always makes things tasty)
Fresh chives (or reg onion... chives are a little more mild)
Gouda cheese

Spread some BBQ sauce on the crust. Spread cheese over top. Mix BBQ sauce to coat with the chicken and spread on pizza. Sprinkle washed and chopped cilantro and chives on top to taste. Bake according to pizza crust instructions. Enjoy!

Trains, Trains, and More Trains!
